Story Link – Prison MinistryStory Link, a program under Liberty Belle Ministries, is supported by our church through sales of nuts and treats every fall. This program gives offenders an opportunity to record a book on a CD (with help from a Volunteer in Corrections) and then have the book and CD sent to a child, grandchild, or niece or nephew. The money earned through the nuts and treats sales is used to purchase CDs, mailing supplies and postage for Chillicothe Correctional Center, one of two women’s prisons in the State of Missouri, and where one of our members volunteers. More volunteers are needed if you have an interest in prison ministry.
Steppingstone PartnershipHelping to teach skills to 16-21 year old’s who are preparing to live independently as they transition from a residence housing offered them at a time when they were homeless. We help Steppingstone by providing assistance financially and by collecting household items for the apartments the older clients live in. Such items are then taken with them when they transition to independent living.
